First lady Michelle Obama reminded me to thank my mom who had me as a teen and left madison park high to raise me and work. And the man she later married, the only pops I really know and respect who woke up at dawn for decades, earning a fraction of what I do–for providing me a life that has known no boundaries. We had two homes. I had an excellent high school and college education. I’ve seen theworld. My parents also taught me to always work hard, be community/family minded and to be generous to those around me. I owe them so much. Parents are so important to children. Thanks mommy and daddy and thank you michelle and barack for letting little brown boys and girls know, we can do anything we set our minds to, regardless of where you begin.
